A Tribute to PNW's Natural Landscapes and Offbeat Culture
After spending a decade in the PNW, I wanted to create a series of paintings that celebrated this special place while also poking gentle fun at its quirks. I love hiking, napping, and taking in the stunning views of windswept cliffs, mountain slopes, and crashing waves. My paintings capture the bright summer light and energizing colors of the region, from the green moss to the die-hard bike commuters.
I used collage to combine timeless natural landscapes with distinctly contemporary urban elements. You'll find images of enterprising toddlers hugging backyard chickens by a mountain lake or bearded baristas making perfect pour-overs with coastal cliffs in the background.
I wanted my paintings to be fun and lighthearted while also showcasing the unique character of the Pacific Northwest. Whether you're a local or a visitor, I hope my artwork brings a smile to your face and captures the magic of this beautiful region.
